ReRoute/Bypass

A plumbing reroute or bypass is the cutting of pipes, capping the old pipes, and repositioning the pipes into a new area. It is when the leaking line gets disconnected from the manifold and then the line gets rerouted through the wall cavities and/or ceilings.

A manifold is a control center for water distribution. It is typically located inside the wall.

Would a Reroute be Necessary?

Considering the amount of work your drains and water pipes are put through, leaks are expected.
Our highly experienced Plumbers will suggest a reroute only it is the most effective or convenient method. Not all homes are built equally, depending on its foundation or its layout, the plumber could suggest repair on the same location or a reroute.
